Gabriela was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and came to the United States at the age of nine. She has been working within the nonprofit sector since 2015 after working in meatpacking plants for eight years. She found her passion for social justice through learning how to advocate for all workers. Through this work, Gabriela has been dedicated to bringing everyone to the table and taking actions that will create a positive impact and change in our communities. When she’s not building collective power in Nebraska, you can find her running, getting a good workout, watching her daughter play soccer, or playing video games.
